#18 Kate Griffin: On birth photography and why you should price properly
In this week’s episode we chat to our friend and UK birth and family photographer, Kate Griffin.
We have a very funny and insightful chat with Kate about her experience as one of the UK’s first ever birth photographers. We talk about the process, why it’s so important to price yourself properly, how her documentary family sessions flow, what equipment she uses and a lot more.
This episode could have easily been about 2 hours long as we could have talked to Kate all day!
Kate is one of the people whose opinion we respect the most in the industry. She’s honest and hilarious and we think you’re going to love her (just don’t tell her that!)
CAUTION ADVISED – there is lots of adult language used during this chat so please be aware if you have children around.

Our lovely sponsors.
These kind sponsors make it possible for the podcast to continue to grow. We love our sponsors for that, but more importantly, we love what they do. We only work with sponsors whose products we know, use and love.
This is such a freakin’ brilliant episode. Not only do I share the same dirty delight for a Greggs sausage roll, I think everyone should have a photographer friend like Kate to keep themselves real. Please interview her again – surely you could fill a whole new episode just on her embarrassing moments and birth stories. ps. My jaw is still on the floor after hearing the nanny comment – what an admirable response! Respect!
